Fires in Australia has consumed forests on the island since October 2019 - 10 million hectares of land,200 houses, 500 million animals - mammals, birds, reptiles.
Maybe some kinds of animals are dead.
The high temperatures made areas with fire tornadoes and storms without rain
People are evacuated when there was a fire in their town. However, the animals are in a worse situation. Those that can move faster, such as kangaroos, often escape from flames, unless they are trapped or surrounded by fire. Animals that are slower, such as koalas, have worse.
Fire not only kills animals directly but also destroys their habitats.
Australias fires are not just attacking the continent anymore. Fire appeared on Kangaroo Island, Australias third largest island. Flinders Chase National Park was destroyed. The island is inhabited by disease-free koalas, and the bees produce the cleanest honey here. Kangaroo Island is also home to one of Australia's most rare marsupials.
The tragedy of one country has side effects in another.
New Zealand's glaciers turned beige. This is the result of dust settling in Australian bushfires.
Over South America has smoke from Australian fires.
