Poland has  got a lot of cuisine that we can be proud of. Here are some examples.

Pork chop with meatballs and cabbage

Yes, breaded pork chops are also eaten in other countries of the world. But pork chop potatoes and cabbage are so often on Polish tables and in restaurants that it can be called a typical Polish meal. Pork chop is best to be as thin as possible, take half the plate and have a golden, crispy coating. Potatoes can be young, sprinkled with dill, and fried cabbage.

Bigos

Bigos causes contradictory emotions among foreigners. Foreigners are surprised at how you can eat sauerkraut, which is in their opinion broken cabbage. They are also deterred by the appearance of bigos and its intense smell. Doubts about a dish, however, usually disappear when you try to stew. Eating bigos is almost a must visit in Poland. The most important thing is for the stew to be prepared according to tradition - it must contain good sauerkraut, a lot of meat, forest mushrooms, dried plums, and appropriate spices. It's fair to say that bigos is a trademark of Polish cuisine.

Pierogi /dumplings

Foreigners love Polish dumplings. This dish is probably the most appreciated. Dumplings stuffed with meat stuffing, sauerkraut and mushroom stuffing, as well as dumplings with cheese or fruit - it is worth giving foreigners different types of dumplings. They can be cooked and fried, with or without crackling. Dumplings in restaurants are one of the cheaper dishes, you can eat them too.

Zupa ogórkowa/cucumber soup

It is worth giving foreigners a cucumber soup, which for many of them is often a complete surprise. They don't associate cucumbers and pickles with something that can be used to cook a good soup. Germans eat cucumber without resistance, but for Italians and Spaniards it will be difficult to accept.

Żurek

Żurek, the flagship dish of Old Polish cuisine and at the same time one of the most famous Polish soups, is another dish that we should recommend to foreigners. Traditional sour soup is prepared with sourdough from wholemeal flour, cooked with mushrooms, and served with potatoes, diced sausage and hard-boiled egg.
