High Street in London, the most expensive street with shops in UK.

Here is a look at Britain from anoter point of view. What are the:

Well-known British brands

1.Barbour

A synonym of British style and the highest quality jackets. The Barbour brand's flagship is oiled jackets, they have been produced for over 100 years. They are eagerly worn by members of the British royal family. The basic raw material for the production of fabrics from which this legendary outerwear are made is Egyptian cotton. Currently, Barbour production is scattered all over the world by subcontractors (including in Bulgaria), but classic waxed jackets are still produced only in Great Britain, in the town of South Shields. The most popular models are Beaufort, Border, Beadale, Moorland and International. Their characteristic features include: high-quality brass zippers with large teeth, a characteristic round slider handle, brass rivets and press studs, checked lining, corduroy collar, and large external pockets.

2.Burberry

As Barbour is synonymous with waxed jackets, Burberry is synonymous with classic men's trench coat. It was from this outerwear created for the needs of the British army that the history of the empire created by Thomas Burberry began. At the end of the nineteenth century (1879) he invented gabardine - a breathable, waterproof and very durable wool material from which sewed excellent coats and clothing for civilians, polar explorers, sailors, as well as tents, tarps, etc.

This fabric was appreciated by the British army , who at the Burberry factory contracted sewing half a million coats for soldiers fighting on the fronts of World War I. After the World War II, the trench coat went to a civilian and quickly became a cult surface covering. This is largely due to the Hollywood stars, who have performed in this film both in movies and in private.

3. CROCKETT&JONES

A synonym of classic British shoes, a pattern of quality and good style. The company comes from the world of classical footwear, that is from Northampton, which several dozen years ago gathered over one hundred companies dealing in the production of elegant shoes. At the moment the biggest players stayed there, and one of them is Crockett & Jones. The best and most appreciated C & J line is Hand Grade, which is an example of traditional shoemaking craftsmanship.
