Xmas in Australia

Six white boomers

Christmas in Australia is held in the middle of summer at 40 Celcius degrees which for us is very suprising.

Walking on the street, we can see there a lot of people who wear Santa's hats and say ,,Happy Holidays".

For cars, Australians attach artificial horns and red pompoms to pretend to be the nose of a reindeer.

Santa's sleigh is not pulled by reindeers, but kangaroos! They are called white boomers.

Christmas trees are artificial because firs and spruce in Australia do not grow. You can buy it alive and fragrant, but it is very expensive.

On the baubles there are painted parrots, eucalyptus flowers, motifs of indigenous inhabitants - Aborigines, and even echidend - an animal occurring only in Australia.

Santas surfing

In terms of cuisine, dishes are very similar to American ones. On the table there are, among others, turkey, boiled shrimps, and cherries.

But everyone in all countries has Nicholas, presents and ... family.

Popular activity is surfing, there is even a competition in which Santas are surfing!
