Have you ever experienced frustration when your teacher said: "that's all the time we have for this topic. If you still don't understand it, learn at home!"?


You find yourself before a test, looking at your course book, the vocabulary you learnt by heart but what about the grammar and other things? Of course, the internet comes in handy.

We are presenting to you several websites and ideas, that can solve your problem.


1. Check youtube.
If you still haven't noticed - people make all sorts of videos on youtube. Also about learning English. You can find teachers, native speakers and your peers talking about subject that you are going to be tested from.

- Po Cudzemu by Arlena Witt

Mrs Arlena is Polish which is really helpful because she explains topics using Polish and English. She presents examples of the subject in movies. She is quite funny and you can also be interested in her grammar book - Grama to nie drama - which is really witty and has tons of exercises on grammar.

TED is an amazing community of people who share interesting knowledge. Not only on learning but literally any topic you might be interested in. They choose people who are great lecturers and have passion of teaching oters. Here is an example:

A website where you can find all kinds of information on English speaking countries and previous tests from competitions in English.

If you are a movie fan this website is for you! Check the pronunciation of a phrase of a word, and how it is used in a sentence. The website will show you examples from your favourite tv shows and movies.

Example of a good but also easy to use a dictionary. From Polish to English and from English to Polish. Remember that google translator is not the best way to translate a word.
