Długa in Polish means "long". It is 320 meters long. In 1945, the long street was completely destroyed, and today, after reconstruction, it is a tourist attraction.

Tram rails were removed ( running this way until 1959 ), and on the site of old paving stones, polished granite appeared. Currently only pedestrian traffic is on the street.

One of the sights you can visit on Długa street is Uphagen's house.
It's tenement house.
A councilmen Johanen Uphagen was living here in the eighteenth century.
Now it's a museum thanks to the fact that the original furniture was rescued in 1944.

Green Gate

The Green Gate is in Gdańsk on Długi Targ 24, it has been opened in 1568.
Its construction began in 1564 and its architectural style is Dutch mannerism.
The green gate is probably the oldest water gate in Gdańsk.

There is an art  gallery now, and you can see whole street from up.
