Christmas traditions in Poland

When finally this magnificent, festive day, which ends the solemn Christmas Eve supper, every Pole sits at the table. Before that, however, the family reads a passage from the Holy Scriptures that talks about the birth of the Savior. 



Later, all of them take turns on making a loan and breaking white wafers, which is a sign of peace and reconciliation in the family circle. After these wishes, it's time to eat the twelve dishes prepared by the hostess. 

Under the tablecloth, there should be hay and on top of wafers. Tradition says that there should not be a meat dish on the Christmas Eve table and that it is a fast day all day before the supper. After the feast, there are carols that end this solemn meeting. later at midnight, a shepherdess is organized, to which everyone rushes to the church. A special choir sings pastorals in honor of Jesus. 



And the crib charmingly depicts the holidays that are just being called. Pasterka begins the next day under the name Christmas. It is the greatest festival of this time. The second day of Christmas, not counting Christmas Eve in honor of Saint Stephen, is no longer a celebration in which it is a duty to go to church, but all Christians and so go to the house of God to worship him. The final holiday is a farewell to the old year and a welcome new champagne, fireworks and New Year's party until the morning.

Of course, everyone remembers that during Christmas time there is a Christmas tree with Christmas decorations, lights, lights and chains. In many homes there are Christmas decorations with fresh fir or spruce branches. They also consist of all kinds of decorations, but in the middle there is always a candle. The richest people dress their homes hanging them with lights like the houses in America.
