Artus Court in Gdańsk
The name was taken from the very popular legend of King Arthur.
He was a symbol of gallantry. Founded as a meeting place for merchants (buyer, dealer) and dignitaries.
The building was decorated with seven statues (Scorpio, Africanus, Thenistocles, Marcus Canillus and Judas Macabeus on a bottom, syblobs of strength and justice - above, and statue of Fortuna on top.) and medalious with King of Poland (Sigismund III Vasa) and his son (Władysław IV Vasa) who was a prince at the time.
